Terms of service

Last updated · 28 August 2026

1. Service description

pic2CAD is operated by Vanessa Larsson (NIF Y8388099J), trading as pic2CAD, at Corredera Baja de San Pablo 15, 28004 Madrid, Spain ("pic2CAD", "we"). pic2CAD is an AI-assisted tool that converts pictures into CAD-ready line drawings: PNG, SVG and DXF. You can write to pic2cad@gmail.com, which is how we answer, or call +1 862 703 0206. By using pic2CAD, you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy policy.

The API is separate. If you use pic2CAD from your own code with an API key, what applies to you are the API terms, a business-to-business contract: prepaid wallet, top-ups, keys and quotas, with no consumer right of withdrawal.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to create a free pic2CAD account: that is the age from which Spanish law lets you consent to the processing of your own data. If you are between 14 and 17, you confirm a parent or guardian is aware you are using pic2CAD.

Buying is different. Being able to consent to data processing is not the same as being able to enter into a contract. To buy credits or a subscription you must be of legal age, or have the authorisation of a parent or guardian, who takes on the payment. If you use pic2CAD on behalf of a company or studio, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it.

3. Account and credits

You need an account to generate and keep drawings. The Free plan includes 3 free drawings every month, which renew on the day you signed up; a single free trial without an account is also available, shown blurred until you sign up. Each generation costs 1 credit, and every drawing includes 1 free retry on a paid plan: from the second regeneration of the same drawing onwards another credit comes off, and on the Free plan every regeneration costs a credit. Downloading your finished PNG, SVG and DXF together is always free, and you can re-download them later at no extra cost. Credit packs never expire. Subscription credits reset each billing period and do not roll over; the Creator plan includes 30 drawings a month, a figure we publish.

If a generation fails on our side, a technical error, or a picture our tool cannot process, such as an unclear image or a recognisable public figure, the credit is refunded automatically. See our Refunds section for the full policy. We may change prices for new purchases at any time; this never affects credits or subscription periods you have already paid for.

4. The 14-day right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from the purchase to withdraw. What happens during those 14 days depends on what you bought, because pic2CAD is not just a file you download: it is a digital service that takes your picture, processes it, generates the files and keeps them in your account.

  • Subscription. When you subscribe you expressly ask us to start the service straight away, so you can draw the same day. If you withdraw within the 14 days, we refund what you paid minus the part matching the subscription time already elapsed and the drawings you have already generated.
  • Credit packs. Credits landing in your balance do not consume anything on their own. As long as you have not spent them, you can withdraw within the 14 days and we refund the credits you have not spent.
  • Drawings already generated. Each generation starts when you press Generate, and at that moment the digital content has been supplied. There is no withdrawal on credits already spent, unless the generation fails: in that case the credit comes back to your balance on its own.

To withdraw, just email pic2cad@gmail.com saying you withdraw. No reason and no form needed. We refund the amount due through the same payment method, within 14 days of hearing from you at the latest. Our Refunds section says the same thing in practice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload pictures you do not have the right to use
  • Upload unlawful content of any kind, including anything that exploits or endangers minors
  • Upload a picture of a recognisable public figure without their consent (we do not run our own detection for this: our image model may refuse to process it and the generation fails, with your credit refunded automatically; we may also remove content that breaks this rule)
  • Attempt to copy, reverse-engineer, or extract the technology behind pic2CAD
  • Use pic2CAD for any unlawful purpose
  • Resell access to the service or share your account credentials

Pictures of minors may only be uploaded by a parent or legal guardian, for personal use. Sexual or exploitative content involving minors is never allowed, has zero tolerance, and will be reported to the relevant authorities. Uploading unlawful material results in immediate account termination, and we may report it, including your account information, to the relevant authorities.

6. Your uploads

You retain all rights to the pictures you upload. You confirm you have the rights needed to upload and convert each one, and the consent of anyone identifiable in it, we cannot check this for you, it is your responsibility. This warranty is owed to us and does not replace pic2CAD's own lawful bases for processing any personal data that may appear in the picture, described in our Privacy policy. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process the picture to produce your drawing, operate the service, and review conversions for support, quality and abuse prevention.

7. Your outputs

The PNG, SVG and DXF you generate are yours. We claim no rights over them and, to the extent we might hold any, we grant them to you as broadly as the law allows. Use them for whatever you like, personal, commercial, client work, with the single rule in our Licence section below: you may not resell or redistribute the drawing itself as a standalone digital file, which would be reselling our service rather than your work.

Two honest caveats. First: whether a drawing made with AI is protected by copyright depends on how much of it is your own creative input, and no contract can settle that, so we do not promise it. What we do give you is the file and the right to use it without limits on our side. Second: we do not promise exclusivity. If someone else uploads a similar picture they may get a similar drawing, and that is not a fault in the service.

Finished drawings stay in your account for as long as you keep it, so you can re-download them whenever you like.

8. Our intellectual property

The pic2CAD name and logo, this website, and the software behind it are ours. Nothing in these terms gives you any right to use them beyond using the service as intended. Your drawings remain yours, see section 7.

9. AI output disclaimer

pic2CAD uses AI to interpret pictures and generate line drawings. Results may not always match your expectations, especially on unclear, cluttered or low-resolution pictures. You are responsible for reviewing a file before using it for manufacturing, laser cutting, or any process where accuracy matters; it is a starting point, not a substitute for your own check.

Your files are marked. The PNG, SVG and DXF you download carry a tag inside them, invisible when you open the file but readable by software, saying the drawing was generated by AI. It is the marking required by article 50.2 of the EU AI Act, using the standard IPTC vocabulary that Google and Adobe use too. It does not change how the file looks or how you use it, and it does not stop you editing it.

10. Your responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for what you upload and what you do with your drawings. You agree to indemnify pic2CAD against claims, losses and costs arising from your uploads (including claims that you lacked the rights to a picture) or your use of the outputs.

11. Intellectual property complaints

If you believe content on pic2CAD infringes your rights, contact pic2cad@gmail.com with details and we will investigate and remove infringing content where appropriate.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account for a specific reason: breaking these terms, uploading illegal content, using the service in an automated or abusive way that degrades it for everyone else, non-payment, or fraudulent use of a payment method. Unless it involves illegal content or an immediate risk to the service or to other people, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

What happens to what you paid. If we close your account without a breach on your side, we refund unused purchased credits and the part of the subscription you have not used. Credits are only forfeited when the closure follows a serious violation: illegal content, payment fraud, or deliberate damage to the service.

You can close your own account at any time from your account page, this deletes your drawings and cancels any active subscription immediately.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, with notice by email or a notice on the site. Changes apply from the date they take effect, not retroactively. If you do not accept updated terms, stop using pic2CAD and contact us, we will close your account and refund unused purchased credits.

14. Service availability

We aim to keep pic2CAD available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If pic2CAD closes down for good, purchased credits will be honoured or refunded. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a successor entity that carries on the pic2CAD business; we will notify you of any such transfer, and your rights will not be reduced by it.

15. Warranty and limitation of liability

pic2CAD draws with artificial intelligence: the result depends on the picture you upload and can vary between attempts. We do not promise that a given drawing will come out exactly as you pictured it, which is why you should always check the file before using it to manufacture, cut or build.

Your legal guarantee stays intact. If you are a consumer, the statutory guarantee of conformity for digital content and services applies to you: if pic2CAD does not work as described in these terms, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity and, where that is not possible, to a price reduction or to end the contract and get your money back. Nothing in these terms cuts those rights down.

BETA features. Features marked BETA are experimental, are labelled as such before you use them, and may change or be withdrawn. They are an extra, not the part of the service you paid for.

As far as the law allows liability to be limited, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

16. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain.

If you are a consumer. The mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence in the EU also apply to you, and you may bring proceedings before the courts where you live. Nothing you accept here requires you to litigate in Madrid.

If you contract as a company or professional. Disputes go to the courts of Madrid, Spain, unless a mandatory rule says otherwise.

17. Refunds

You pay for credits, either as a one-off pack or through a subscription. Spending a credit to generate a drawing is not a separate purchase.

Credits you have already spent. Not refundable. A credit is spent the moment a drawing is generated. If the result is not what you wanted, every drawing on a paid plan comes with 1 free retry, so you can try again at no cost; from the second regeneration onwards another credit comes off. On the Free plan every regeneration costs a credit. If the generation fails, the credit comes back automatically (see below).

Credits you have not spent. They get refunded. If you email us within 14 days of the purchase saying you withdraw, we refund the credits still sitting unspent in your balance. After those 14 days we would still rather sort it out than argue about it: if you bought by mistake, tell us.

Subscriptions. Cancel at any time and the plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.

Failed generations. If the drawing engine cannot process your picture (a recognisable public figure, an invalid image, a technical error on our side), the credit goes back to your balance automatically.

Anything broken. A corrupted file, a download that will not complete, a charge that should not have happened. Email us and we fix it or refund it.

18. Licence and what you can do with your drawings

Every drawing you generate comes with the same licence. There is no cheaper personal tier and no commercial surcharge: one generation buys the full set of rights below.

What you can do. Use the PNG, SVG and DXF in your own work, including paid work: architecture and interior-design drawings, competition boards, renders, printed material, presentations and client deliverables. You may edit the files, change line weights and colours, and hand the finished drawing that contains them to your client.

What you cannot do. You cannot resell or redistribute the drawing as a stand-alone asset, for example, listing it in a CAD-block library or bundling it into a figure pack. The value you sell has to be your project, not our file.

The person in the picture. The licence covers our output; it does not grant you rights over the person depicted. By uploading a picture you confirm that you may use it and that anyone identifiable in it has consented to being drawn and to that drawing being used the way you intend.

Attribution. Not required. Appreciated, never demanded.
